Default stock SROD 4 speed fluid change help?

In reading these forums and elsewhere, it seems SRODs:
    • have no drain plug
    • should be filled 80wt gear oil

    My questions are:
How do you drain fluid while the tranny is on the car? Thought about a syringe and tubing, but have doubts I would get anything other than a small amount out.

I'm pretty sure I need to top off since when I removed the drive shaft, some fluid came out. If I top off, do I have to worry about it being compatible?

The stuff currently int there is at least 20 years old. Do I need to be sure that all gets out?

I thought it did have a drain and fill bolt? Seems like I changed mine, but I admit it was YEARS ago.

On my 83GT, I pull the bottom bolt on the tail shaft.
