    Default Windshield Washer Reservoir Disassembly

85 GT, original / stock windshield washer reservoir. It's pretty dirty inside and I'd like to take the top off and clean it.

Is it possible to take that top off without damaging anything? It's on very tight and seems to be glued or plastic-welded to the tank.

    Thanks in advance.

They can often be pried off. They may have a few spots of glue. You can try soaking it with CLR.

Just had mine off last week. Start at on corner and just work your way around it will come off. I put mine back on with silicone.

There's a video on youtube of a guy cleaning out overflow bottles as well as white plastic parts using some solution and UV light if I remember. Comes out looking like new.
