Default Picked up another t top capri

Added another 85 capri to my collection yesterday with hope of having it running for the summer since my 86 t top has got a few years left to go till completion. No rust really at all beside the hatch of course. Somebody was in the process of making a drag car out of it smh. Most of the interior was removed. It's just gonna be a cruiser so no need for high hp. The decals will be removed today lol. Trick pony has to go hahaName: 20210405_201337.jpg

Nice purchase! Congrats looks like a nice starting point for a sweet ride. Totally agree on the decals needing to be gone YESTERDAY!

Also please yank those horrible wheels off and melt them down immediately. If anything have them made into a rope chain and medallion you can wear around your neck! That would be a better option then as wheels! Good Luck!

X2 on the wheels. Gack! Good score, TOO many 4 eyes butchered by hacks to make a "racecar".

Thanks guys. Yeah the rims are coming off after I find a good set. I like the 93 cobra rims but still not sure what I will put on it. Might keep the decals then cause that's 100 extra horses lol. I will be changing out the hood also. That scoop is just too much lol.Name: 20210406_073410.jpg

Size: 212.9 KB I wish I could have saved it before the gutted the interior an put a cage in it. This car will be my son's graduation gift in about 8 years. Remove all the drag strip crap first. I'm just gonna drop a 302 an t5 in it. Patch the little rust holes in floor pans an drive it till my 86 is done. I'll fix all the issues when my 86 is done. Just need a foxbody to drive lol. 2018 was my last time I got to drive one of my capri's. I'll take some pics of inside soon. The pace car is on hold till I get the new house in a few years I have almost all the body parts for it though. Only have a 2 car garage an no room for 3 projects lol

Oh yeah, wheels have to go. And one of the reasons I bought my 85 Mustang notch in 2009 was to save it from becoming chopped up into a drag car.

Points for using a Dodge Ram as a backup emergency brake. You must keep those wheels. They are so hideous they are great. What are the graphics on the front fenders?

I've had my pace car roll down the drive way on me with no brakes but the curb stopped the car about half way to the corner stop sign so didn't want to take the chance. The ram is serving a multiple purpose, an backup emergency brake an anti theft lol.

Yeah I like them on foxes as well but can't seem to find any for a decent price. I did find some 03/04 cobra rims for a good price

I wholeheartedly disagree with the direction of this build. Clearly this car was destined for drag racing greatness and you are destroying it. The next thing I know you are going to tell us you are taking those foglights off that make the car look like it has buck teeth.

All the drag race stuff they did was hack jobs. All the welds on the cage looked like a 5 year old did it. I cut the down tube by drivers door at the top an then the bottom just came right off. Somebody could of died in a roll over for sure with that cage. I got the car for my son an I to work on together an then give it to him after he graduates high school. Yes those ugly fog lights are coming off. I think I saved this car from getting destroyed but everybody has their own opinion

I was just kidding. That thing was headed for the scrap yard if the previous owner continued work on that thing. A father/son project sounds like fun.
