    Default Hey all.

    Hey there.

Glad to have found this place. My name is Melissa and I am from Indiana. In the past my husband and I had a 1986 Mustang GT and he has had a few others since as well. This past weekend he just picked up a 1985 Mercury Capri roller and our 20 year old daughter who has always loved Mustangs, but never had one jumped on the chance to purchase a 1984 Mustang SVO. Needs a lot to restore it, but she is quite excited. The SVO certainly needs work, not sure what some people were thinking when they did stuff to this car, but she is going to get the proper fixes and love now. We are used to working on 5.0s usually, so this will be an adventure. Even the Capri is a bit out of his norm and will be a learning experience some. Excited to learn some things from all of you here.

There are several very knowledgeable SVO folks here that can tell you the pedigree of the car. I'd do some research and determine if it's one of the more rare examples of an already rare car. That could guide you on which restoration path to take. Is it a Comp Prep, or Sage Green, etc.

Welcome to the site. Always great to see another Capri getting put back on the road. Also great to see a family enjoying the hobby together. Post up some pics when you get a chance.
