Yes the one with the terrible green paint is a real 86 4E / Sage Green with leather interior. 1 of 4 built in that combination. He saved it from a guy who didn't know, or care what it is, and was going to part it out. I have verified the VIN and was the one who helped save it.
It needs a good bit of work but is definitely an excellent prospect if somebody is looking for a restoration project.

Update - 2023 - Looking to buy 81 Mustang, 82/85/86 Mustang GT, and 79 - 86 Capri (No Sunroof). Not looking for all original/show cars or convertibles - I will be modifying. Would be nice if both were - Black Interior, PW, PL, AC, No - or very little rust. Motor/Trans/Axle not important. Options negotiable with price.
Right rear quarter has damage between the wheel well and rear bumper. As far as I know and have seen there are no real rust issues. The interior has been spray painted black. He now has a complete front bumper cover minus only the headlights.
I think it has a salvage title but not 100% sure about that. I know he has done a fair amount of work to put it back together after the previous owner had started to part it out.
It should get a full bare shell resto to be correct. He has most of the harder to come by parts so that helps.
Here is one of the two 86 4Es I just sold last December. It was a cloth interior car and the only one out of all of them with a sunroof.

I still have my 85 Hertz in Sage Green and my 86 coupe and 86 Capri also in Sage Green so I'll be OK. I also sold my 86 Sage Comp Prep but it went the best home possible to be with the other only 86 4E Comp Prep made.

I was in the 4E SVO club once.I think you're right Ken, salvage title. It was at one of the salvage auctions...Copart, IAA, or other.

It's from a group on FaceBook that I'm not a member. The seller is in several other SVO groups / pages that I follow so that is where I know him from. The original first post has a screen shot to show the ad.
