What a chore. Connecting your car to electric net before you can go for a ride.
But a man got to do what a man got to do to keep up with the Yuppies.

Nice, how many miles do you get per charge?,

Well, I can drive for weeks on a view Amps. But I have bad diode blocks or something- have to top of that smelly coolant can in the back by the gallon almost daily!

Somehow never really realized similarity until now.
Battery charging gas or electric. They are much alike as to familiarity of using by design.
Drove a 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV yesterday. Experienced connecting its portable charger.
A gas pump nozzle pumping gasoline at a trickle. Hours.
Level 1 charging is 120v. Level 2 is 240v and was pulling an est 100w.
There was an additional socket below the car end main charging port for what we believed for a Level 3 charge.
The Bolt EUV's charger connects to any 120v or 240v source by interchanging the charger pigtails.
Charger is the size and shape of a regular box of cookies or pancake mix and a bit thinner.
The main battery has a cooling system, radiator, electric fan, similar to a regular car.
Drive to store, plug in, shop for an hour, leave with an added 100 miles of energy.
Have sat in a Tesla. Pretty 'spaced out' overall design especially inside.

At work there is a lot of development on electrification and fuelcells.
There may come a moment that it makes more sense to go electric/ fuelcell/ hydrogen for everyone. No fun what you have to add to a new diesel engine particularly to be allowed to use it.

yah SCR, DOC, DEF, DPF.
Worked material handling at two nearby Eberspäecher (ENA) plants.
Made commercial diesel emissions after treatment assemblies for Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, CNH, Volvo/Mack.
Laser shell manufacturing, converter catalyst canning and complex automated welding and assembly.
Entire one box assys with electronics, sensors. Large round substrates inside 'cans' were called 'cakes'.
The other plant stuffed cat converters, bent and welded exhaust components for Ford, GM, Chrysler.
Complete exhaust systems for the Chevy Volt and Cadillac.
Heard truck drivers hate having to wait for regeneration cycle.
They did not work in this department. Promo pic.
Roush Industries here does propane conversions for medium delivery and utility use trucks.
Changing transportation to electric is reinventing most of a vehicle and fuel infrastructure again.
Horse drawn wagons, to steam power, to internal combustion.
And car/truck turbine engine prototypes in the 60's.
Looks like consumers eventually find ways to accept and afford major new tech by choice, not force.
anecdote: My parents in law bought a hybrid Kia.
Mother couldn't get it started first couple of weeks.
Push buttons, floor accelerator pedal and no engine sound. Mixed her up every time.
