Default Just starting an engine rebuild

New member here from Saskatchewan, Canada. Just recently began the teardown of my 1984 5.0

Been looking at upgrading the entire top end.

I've been eyeing up the Edelbrock 2027 Power Package Top-End Kit, but I'm hesitant whether or not it will fit. I've seen some people say they used it on a mid 80s, but on the Edelbrock website it says for 81, and older.

Any feedback would be great. Happy to be a part of this community now.

Why are you buying that timing cover? You don't need the dipstick tube (your's goes in the pan) and you already have a fuel pump hole. Seems like a waste of $255. Just clean and use your old one.
