Default After market deck mounting options

Hey all, so I'm going to run a bluetooth/cd stereo in my 84 but not sure where to mount it. Would like to keep my factory premium sound tape deck installed for a stock look and don't want to hack up my dash plastic if possible. Might even try to to wire it all so I can run both if wanted. What's some options that I would have? Thanks

Also reading that you can't bypass the premium sound factory amp in 84's. That's according to crutchfield. So what's my options for wiring in a new head unit, 3.5" speakers in dash, 6x9's, sub and amps to run it all? Oh and factory amp still works

Maybe consider something like this as a compromise.

Looks like it slips in line with your stock antenna.

Gives you a bluetooth connection among other things.

Ya that would be a option if nothing else works. Would rather have a deck with bluetooth/usb/cd mounted somewhere

So can someone also fill me in on the factory amp. Can it be bypassed? Is it better to just take it out? I've read that the 84 amp cant be bypassed because of how its grounded or something. I'm not sure if that's true or not. Can a guy just unhook it and run new speaker wire to all speakers then to new deck?

I installed an kenwood M1824BT under the passenger seat then ran the speaker wires behind the dash into the stock speakers. Head unit is stock but the sound comes from the phone via BT.

You can have the factory unit rebuilt with new tech. That would include bypassing the amp.
