The factory FiTech temperature gauge is typically out that much. Get the replacement Delco unit and it will be much closer to what you read, he’s, taken from experience.

Do you recall what Delco unit that is?
My mechanical gauge is in the upper hose.
My radiator fan controller is in the t-stat housing.
The FiTech is in the intake manifold.

The temperature accuracy is common with the FiTech system. There are many posts on websites about it. I purchased a replacement Delco unit 213-928 and the temperature was accurate after.

Advance has one in stock. I will pick it up and swap it out, see what changes.
    What could possibly go wrong?

    Thanks!

As a follow up, it does read way different! It is a 180° T-Stat so it runs in the 190's now instead of reading 170's. So I am guessing more accurate.
