Default Opinions on mud flap height

Going to install some mud flaps on our 80 cobras.

Curious on opinions about how high should it sit off the ground ? Is there a standard factory height range for foxbodies ?

I am thinking between 6-8" looks about right.

    Thanks

I should add that I have two of the proper size originals with the white ford logo and found some plain black that were exact same size.

I use mud flaps attached with binder clips. Often, I get them too low or uneven. I do find a good height to be the top lined up with the top of the body side molding.

Yeah that seems reasonable. That puts my height off the ground at about 7" on the front and 8" on the back...on my cars stance at least...so I think I might go top lined up with middle of the moulding.
