I've been looking for an 86 GT hatch since late October of last year. I wasn't too picky on color, anything except Medium Canyon Red. I've had the worst of luck and had about 5-7 deals fall through all at the last minute. Finally everything fit together and a deal finally got made. I drove up with my friend in his truck and trailered the car back from NY.
Here are some pictures. I'll try and post more, but these are just some quick shots I got. I woke up really early this morning and although the trip wasn't as far as some other trips I had planned, nearly 4 1/2 hours one way with gas/food stops along the way and then back still left me exhausted. My friend who went with me who had the truck we used to tow the Mustang, also has an 86 GT. After we dropped my car at my house, we went to his house and were looking over his car for a while. He realized he had an extra set of TrickFlow heads since the buyer threw in a ton of extra parts when he bought the car last summer. He threw in the stock SRA w/ 5-lug conversion (has an IRS installed), BBK SSI manifold -brand new, rebuilt T5, extra pair of AMR 18" wheels & tires, a bunch of items new in the bag like, trim pieces, moldings, etc. The TF heads are completely assembled and just seem to have a few threads that need to be re-threaded at the spots that seal the valve covers. Anyways, here's the car.
