Does anyone happen to know if coupe and vert windshield sizes are the same? Or are they different sizes?

Coupe and hatchback use the same windshield. The convertible is specific to the convertible due to the windshield posts being laid back at a steeper angle.

Thank you!
You can check the number on the glass itself. The number 941 comes to mind irc. As posted above, is correct except for the ASC convertible cars which started out as hatchbacks. Windshields are also date coded which by the way can be replicated.

Is there a difference in model year ? Are all hatch/coupe windshields from 1979-1986 compatible ?
Thanks.
Windshields will interchange on the coupe and hatchback from 1979-1993. The later model specific windshields have the dot matrix or black banding around the perimeter due to urethane adhesive being the OEM install method rather than butyl tape that the 79-86 models used. I highly recommend the urethane adhesive if the vehicle is a DD or driven often. If you are doing a 100 points show car, then butyl would be "correct".
The same is true for the rear window in the coupes, 79-93 and the same goes for the hatchbacks 79-93. Same install method as listed above in regards to butyl and urethane.
The convertible from OEM Ford started in 1983 and stayed the same until 1993 and those windshields will interchange in the same manner as listed above.
As for aftermarket conversions such as the ASC Mclaren, I will have to leave that to others as I am not as well versed in what ASC actually did to the windshield or the windshield A pillars. Good Luck!

Didn't the first 1983 convertibles start out as coupes that were sent out to be converted?

I believe that is correct, but Foxchassis will be the one to answer with more details. Either way, at least to my knowledge all of the "OEM" convertibles have the front A pillars laid back to work with the convertible top better. So they all use a different windshield than the coupe due to the angle change.
