Default Fog light or faux fog light options?

I have come to realize it is not the body kit my wife is really interested in. It was headlight covers and fog lights.

She likes the looks of rectangle fog lights, I have an lx with no fog lights. I am thinking about adding faux lights to the bottom. I am thinking some kind of reflector if it looks good enough, or if there is a decent looking surface mount. Anyone have a suggestion?

Fake fog lights would be like adding a fake tail pipe to pretend you have dual exhausts.

Ford offered a fog light mounting kit for the LX model. I bought a kit a while back for my 85. It was pretty simple.

So far I haven't found a kit for a four eyed car.

As for fake fog lights, I wouldn't be trying to drive this car in any conditions that require fog lights. It's more of a drag car than anything.

The easiest option would be to swap out for the 85/86 GT front cover and install the OEM foglight bracket and then either original Marchal lamps or something similar in shape and size such as Hella, etc.

The Motorsports lower air dam kit is another option, but odds are you can find a good used GT cover for the same money or less and there are more GT covers out there than the Motorsports part.
