Default Portland Craigslist 85 GT Conv 5 speed

Not mine posted on Portland, OR craigslist.
    Should not last too long.

    https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...214426935.html

"1985 mustang convertible in need of minor body work and a paint job. Comes with original paperwork & window sticker.

New carburetor, less than 100 miles. Brakes were new when parked 10 years ago. New battery.

Comes with brand new top, new in box, with a glass rear window & accompanying installation kit. (~ $400 value)

Great car that won't take much to fix up. It's been sitting in my driveway for 10 years as I've been wanting to fix it, but my priorities have changed.

    As is, wear is.

    Original owner. 45,945 miles.

$1850 OBO, cash only. NO TEXTS, please."

Looks like it didn't last long. The listing was less than 3 hours old when I posted it. I wonder if someone here got it?

I viewed it while it was still live. Body was rough..not so much with damage but awful paint. Interior looked pretty decent for a car that needed a convertible top replaced....one did come with the sale of the car. No underhood pic.

Surprised that it sold. No market in Portland for convertibles, especially this time of year.

That was an incredible deal. Not too dissimilar from what first generation Shelbys were selling for in the 1980's. For years, Mustang Monthly, Mustangs & Fords, etc, were always talking about "THE BEST FOX MUSTANGS TO COLLECT" and each time, the 1985 Mustang GT convertibles(not '86!) was at the top. ~5500 were produced. They could've gotten $8K for that, in that condition, all day long. (Original owners can be so naïve!) I hope one of our guys snapped it up, probably some local bodyshop though. Look for it in Hemmings soon
