    Default Distributor oil leak

I’ve been having a persistent oil leak on my 83 5.0. I have already replaced the intake manifold gasket and used RTV on the front and back rails. But I stupidly didn’t replace the distributor O-Ring. I’ve also changed the valve cover gaskets as well. The oil is pooling on top of the driver side of the water pump. I didn’t see any wetness between where the intake meets block, but it’s a little wet around the distributor hold down where it meets the block. Is it possible that the oil is getting past the O-ring and out of the distributor hole? Something to note is that the oil pressure gauge likes to hang out in the upper quarter of the gauge, even when cruising on the highway. I don’t know if that’s normal because this is the first muscle car I’ve owned. I apologize I don’t have any pictures because I noticed it when I had driven it to storage and didn’t take a picture because I was short on time.

Change the distributor oring. It’s fairly simple, just align it properly.

On my car it was the driver side valve cover gasket that caused leakage on that spot.
The oil made the lower radiator hose soft and swell until it blew. That's when we found out.
Shame, only hose not from 1978 anymore on my mustang.
