I know this questions been asked a lot but what’s everyone running for motor oil? Oil with higher zinc content?

I have a 1990 full sized Bronco with a flat tappet 351. I have run any high quality oil, mainly synthetic, for the last 8 years with problem zero. Many times I have chosen a 'high mileage' oil, sometimes a syn blend. Still never a problem.
If you want to have more insurance, there are oil additives with zddp you can add. Replaces the zinc, etc that is no longer there. Some are very inexpensive.
When I built my 83 hatch (also flat tappet) I did the same thing.
Brands? I have run mainly name brand (Valvoline, Mobile-1, etc) but have also run generic synthetic.

I was thinking of running Mobil 1. Car has 89,000 on it.
Quality name brand oil, preferably a synthetic since the price difference is negligible in many cases. Make sure you are using the proper weight for your climate and vehicle use. If it gives you peace of mind add some Zinc additive to the oil, although personally I don't think its needed. Otherwise choose one of the racing oils with higher zinc content such as Driven Racing Oil. Good Luck!
