My 92 started acting up one day before I sold it. I found the down shift linkage fell off the throttle body. The connector is a real problem to find. Also, if you down shift cable is not adjusted properly, it will take out the transmission. So I have been told.

As mentioned, the bushing in the TV cable or the connector itself need to be correct. The bushing can sometimes wear itself out and fall out. Metal replacements used to be available.

But, every time that I had an AOD car that felt like it was bucking it was due to a fuel pump going out and not having sufficient fuel pressure.

Thats what we are thinking becuase it pulls hard so theres fuel pressure and the connector is put right its only when we let off in in gear
