First start in almost 3 years for my 84 GT Turbo. Fixed some crumbling wiring under the hood and couldn’t get it to fire. Replaced the PIP, ICM, Computer, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil. Was ready to either buy a Ron Francois harness or push it off a cliff. Root issue was that my brand new Motorcraft ICM was crap. I tried a spare I had sitting around and she fired up with just a touch of the key! I know the general guidelines are motorcraft for ignition parts. Of course the spare ICM was some off brand in a plain box that we sitting in my garage for at least 25 years.
