Default 1979 manual window regulator removal

    Greetings.

I am wondering what all is involved in removal, refreshing, replacing guide bushings and reinstalling 79 manual window regulator. I did a search for a step by step procedure or some instructions on the process. just want to know what i'm getting into before i get started. Any tips, tricks, or what to look out for are welcomed.

    Thanks

    Regulator is riveted in.
Per 79 Ford shop manual Body Vol 4 page 42-07-6:

Remove panel, watershield, support glass in up position.
Drill out regulator attaching rivets, 1/4" drill bit.
Disengage regulator arm from glass bracket and remove regulator from door.

    Install:
Position regulator in the door and insert the roller into the glass bracket channel.
Position regulator to the inner panel. 1/4"-20 screw and washer or 1/4" rivet
Use rivets or bolts with nuts to reinstall.
Gloves are good. Metal edges in door frame, grime.
