Ive owned quite a few of these cars over the years, some via a junk yard where the cars were going to be crushed. This however is the first running driving 79 Coupe that Ive ever owned that runs and drives. It was recently sold on FB to a friend of mine who decided he would sale it to me and I purchased yesterday.
Id love to find out some more history on the car as I plan to keep this car like it is for quite sometime. Plans are to store it and drive it occasionally as is. Its possible down the road I may do an exterior paint job and add the side moldings back.
Anyone remember seeing this car or know more about it?
Things I was told.
Its was bought new in New York at Di Blasi Ford Corona New York
Car shows to be original miles, which is right at 30k now. Previous owners title showed 28k miles He kept a copy of the previous owners title with actual mileage shown at 27090 miles back in August of 2004 ( 16 yrs ago today) The car has spent that time as I know it in storage only driven occasionally.

I can't imagine there are a lot of 79 Coupes still out there ( more than I know I am sure) but if anyone knows any history on this car please share it with me.
Few notable things that might jar someones memory on it, The car has a hook lock system on it, Its mounted inside and has a wire cable that will go into a latch on the under side of the hood, also it has some small reflector type things on each door just above the belt line.
