Hi!
I'm new to this forum, although I've been lurking around a bit in the last few months.
My name is Viktor, and I live in Norway. More precisely in a city named Trondheim. I recently bought a 1986 Mustang GT. The car is in decent shape, but needs some work. The engine and drivetrain seems to be in good nick. The car runs great and it's a blast to drive! 5.0 and T5 trans. It's not been modded out, but has some improvements done to it.
- Explorer upper and lower intake
- BBK Shorty headers, pypes off-road H pipe and flowmasters
- 3.73 Ford Perfomance gears
- Subframe connectors
- White face gauges in dash
Plans for the car:
- Paint all the charcoal trim (mouldings, louvres, mirrors etc.) They will be painted in a dark charcoal hue or matte black.
- Front bumper needs to be re-painted. I also have the correct rear bumper, but it needs to be painted to match the car
- New interior floor mats
- Outsource some decent fog lights. Preferrably original marchals.
- Find some original center caps for the 10 hole wheels
- Eibach pro kit lowering springs, and maybe some 17" wheels. Kinda leaning towards 17" pony wheels these days. Or the SVE Saleen style wheel.
- Mach 1 front lip
- Minor rust issues that needs to be sorted out
- New weather strip around the T-tops and doors
- Drive and enjoy!
Engine bay would benefit from a tidy-up and maybe some wire tucking. That's not one of my top priorities as I am not intending for this to be a show car by any means. But who knows... These projects tend to go a bit further than one initially plans for them to.
