    Default Convertible headliner Velcro glue

When I had my convertible top done around 5 years ago I paid extra for a headliner.

84 verts didn't come with a headliner option but a headliner for an 87 will work. The shop set it up and they attached velcro all around the perimeter. The glue they used has failed and the velcro separated from the frame.

Any suggestions on what to use to reattach the velcro? 3M double sided tape for emblems maybe?

    3 m makes a spray adhesive #7. I would try that.

    Verti headliner= nice
Could try the molding tape. Have used black RTV.
Scrape as much of all the old glue off as possible.
Recently converted a stick on foam disk sanding pad to velcro with 3M 90 spray. Its on there good.
Same can is over 10 years old.

Replace it with 3M industrial self sticking velcro. Comes in 1 foot strips last time I checked.

I was going to say 3M Emblem and Trim adhesive prob would work. A reminder i ran out and to get more today.
Replacement is the best option as suggested.
A repair that need not reuse old part due to lack of suitable replacement or cost.
Fresh start and a clean looking solid fix.
Quick check showed in stock at my local HD:

I like that idea. better than trying to make old velcro stick to double sided tape.

All I have to do is the find something to clean the old glue off without making a mess in my interior.
