Hi,
Does anyone know if a JFZ brake and spindle kit could be bought from Ford Motorsport back in the days? I believe I've seen a Ford Motorsport part no. stamped on the calipers, I will have to double check this.

Never seen anything like that, and I've never heard of JFZ.

The caliper p/n solved the question.
Seen in FPP SVO 1990 catalog, page 111
Not listed in 1991 or 1993 catalog. One year only?
Catalogs sure had tons of goodies back then.

That is amazing they had that brake kit back in the day. I am only 35, I always wanted to know what was available back then. Thanks for sharing that page from the svo catalog.
I guess the real question is, is it any good? What diameter are the rotors?

That's an impressive history lesson. Seems like back in the 80's and 90's, everyone I knew was throwing flowmasters and 3.73's at the Mustangs. It's cool to see that there were brake performance stuff available. We didn't care about stopping at that time!
Larger pic as requested
Taken with smartphone at lowest rez 2.0m 1600 x 1200
This is the original file before i shrunk it for posting.
Zoom screen shot for larger pic.
If not enough detail, like say for the hardware, can take new pic.
Max is 5.0m 2576 x 1932, detail is limited by catalog photo rez of kit.
Viewing the catalog pic with a magnifying glass, it is pixel-ated.

I did a little more digging on this because I was curious. Apparently JFZ was taken over by Sierra Racing Products in 1993. I can find precious little information about Sierra Racing Products, but they were taken over by Joe's Racing Products sometime after 2007 I believe (how long after 2007 I cannot say). I haven't been able to find much for them other than brake pads since it looks like they use the same pad as a Wilwood caliper does.

Definitely interesting stuff! As I said in my initial reply, I'd never heard of them, so gr79's pic of the catalog is enlightening.
The 1990 SVO catalog p/n on the cover is M-1990-A.
Is like a 80's Christmas Wish book or an old toy catalog. No unwanted post 90's era parts exist taking up page space.
The Ford catalogs from that era have part details for certain items like dimensions, what they will or not fit, etc.
All items have descriptions of the intended use of the parts. Lots of info not easily found anywhere else if at all.
For being only parts catalogs, they contain focused critical tech guide info up to 1990.
Cam specs, cyl head details, special engine building tips, specs and differences, all engines 1960-1990.
Parts catalogs like the auto parts chains use are ok, but would never go into detail like Ford did in these catalogs.
Lucky lots of important details were printed. This stuff will get lost or deleted over time in digital type electronic storage systems.
New Ford Performance catalogs will be important just the same for current products someday.
Catalogs are a good example that info can be found much faster vs more time consuming computer searches and retrievals.
Can find color pics of items by turning pages vs less accurate slow guessing words in a fresh blind data base pc keyword search.
On a pc, may never find what you are looking for even if it is in a database, page, site, but not found with a search.
Is proof that computers hoard data if constant work is not done to control the overload and unnecessary amount of data that is saved.
Then just as house hoarders, good important stuff is dumped/deleted, not found, because of time constraints, overwhelming volume etc.
Computers certainly are not the best way to do everything although they are being used to do just that more and more.
They may find something but leave out important details, requiring more searching to complete the picture. Or indexing.
Later on many of the unique new parts offered will be or have been lost, scrapped, because of no way to id them or realize what they are.
The SVO catalogs complement shop service manuals by documenting higher levels of production stock parts Ford offered.
Matching parts with official Ford special part numbers is especially valuable when dealing with them.
Real correct part numbers and pics help avoid a lot of hearsay,' i thinks', or id, app, mistakes later on too. Missing boxes, etc.
