Well, I decided to dive into the front of the motor and top. The intake had a leak and I was going to rebuild the carb anyways.
Intake is very clean on the underside minus the front water ports.
I will be putting the egr plate back on to keep as much original items on the car.
Bolts all came out with a couple scary ones in the front. The 2 in the front have seen water and will need to be replaced. I'm not risking torquing a thinned bolt.
The one unfortunate thing that got damaged was the hard line to the pump. I ended up having to put it in a vise and apply 100ft/lbs to break it free. Someone must have been angry that day in tbe factory. The inlet nut got a few marks but is still fine to use again.
