According to what my eldest told me this morning, now Real Estate is Racist. You can no longer refer to the largest bedroom in a house as the "Master" bedroom. Going forward you must refer to it as the "Primary" bedroom.

I completely agree! I can agree with not "celebrating" and "honoring" (for lack of better terms at this point) some of the figures in our history, but trying to eradicate all evidence from this point forward will only doom us to repeat the same mistakes sometime in the future. I am sick and tired of everyone and everything being painted with such a broad brush. Portraying large groups or institutions as monolithic is a mistake and once again misses the mark for so many reasons.

I remember 20 years ago when we were laughing at morons in LA who tried to pass something calling on the computer industry to change something.

Some idiot on the city council overheard a couple of the IT people in city hall talking. It was back in the days when computers had IDE cables. The techs were talking about which device should be set as "master" and which one should be set as "slave".

Back then we laughed at the moronic elected official for trying to change that. Now those morons are trying to change EVERYTHING.

You can't make up what morons will do. Especially in large groups.

There are plenty of problems that NEED to be solved but instead there is focused on these marginalized things and its a zero sum game.


There are some problems being ignored while we are doing all this stupid bull****
- fatherless kids are 5x more likely to end up in the slammer
- home schooled kids score 30% higher on standardized testing than their peers on average
- education systems cost 95% more money per student than home schooling

Seems like a bunch of people who don't understand history are trying to rewrite it rather than accepting their own role in their accomplishments or lack there of.

What's disgraceful to me is that my kids both graduated from high school without having learned about WWII or the holocaust to name a few things. I've had a lot of conversations with my kids to help steer them in the right direction - time will tell if they were listening.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
