Default Trickflow Stage 1 Cam Question

Hello, I have an 86 mustang and I'm currently installing a Trickflow Stage 1 Cam in a rebuilt shortblock. My question is, trickflow's specs are calling for a minimum 9:1 compression ratio, but calculating my setup with the cylinder heads and piston head volume, I will have a compression of 8.4:1. Is it that important that I meet the minimum 9:1 compression ratio, I have seen other high performance camshafts not call for a specific range of compression ratios. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe contact Trickflow and ask why they recommend that CR and what you might expect falling short of it? 8.4 is pretty low compression for a street motor unless you're gonna boost it. I know stock was around that in the early 80's.
