Default New to us 85 mustang - brakes question

My 17 year old son bought himself a rather ragged 85 mustang to fix up. 5 spd with blown clutch (nothing left of the dusk), built 302, 2 sets of good t-tops but otherwise beat to death.

I’ve had 7 fox body mustangs, rebuilt 2 engines, replaced countless transmissions, so I’m not clueless. But this one has me stumped.

under passenger side rocker are 2 hard lines. One is for sure a brake line. The other is cut. Fuel lines run from drivers side down the center tunnel, so it’s not those. Anyone have a clue what the 2nd hard lines under passenger rocker is?

    thanks

You sure someone didn't run new fuel lines? The one along the passenger side should be the original, I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. 85 was an odd year and I'm not as familiar with them.

I think that 2nd line may be for the fuel tank vent/charcoal canister.

My vote would be fuel tank vent line also.

You all are correct. I traced it down to fuel tank vent line. I’ll reroute it and vent it somewhere safe.
