    I would never thought the ignition switch could cause so many problems. Heater fan works now too.

    Well a lot of circuit’s power goes through the ignition switch. Basically anything key hot which is a lot.
    i think the battery hot stuff goes through the headlight switch mostly.
    at least that is the way it is on my car.
    I had to replace both switches on my car due to a leaking cowl before I bought it.
