Default 1981 Ford Mustang originally a 3.3 with a 5.0 swap no spark.

Picked the car up to harvest some parts for my own car and basically play around with. It has an 87 up motor, set up for carb. The wiring is not well down and I'm trying to redo/repair badly done repairs.

Pulled number to check for spark. Nadda. I have three wires leading up it. (My 85 has two) One has a constant 12v at ignition on. The other two show nothing. I would think I would be running the + to 12v ignition on and the other 2 to negative?

I received a ton of spare parts with the car so where I can I will try to rebuild it to something more coherent. I'm just not sure if the harness from the 85 is the same from the 81.
Next step is figuring out if it an HO motor or a lo-po. Previous owner kinda hacked it up.

Usually you have power in the key on position, power in the start position. Drop me a PM and I will send you a duraspark wiring schematic I made years ago, it might help. It was done on a spreadsheet (yes, a long time ago)...so there is that.
