I'm replacing my standard 85 front disc brakes with a new set of stock front rotors, seals and bearings, hoses and calipers and pads. I had ordered a replacement set of everything from lmr. After removing the old parts, I went to install the new bearings and seals in the new standard replacement rotors. I began to have trouble when installing the inside bearings and seals, they would not install all the way into the back of the rotor.... compared to the original ones , the new bearings and seals stuck above the inside edge of the hub compared to the originals....as I compared the two side by side it looked to me like the new rotors had a built in bearing race that wasn't set into the hub as deeply as the original equipment. I've looked at some of the you tube videos that didn't help as much as I hoped. It been several years ago since I've done a front wheel bearing change. Does the built in wheel bearing race need to come out and replace or ?....any help will be greatly appreciated !
