Default 3D printing a dash pad?

Could this be a feasible thing to do? How much you think in materials, scan time and materials do you think would cost?

I dont know nothing about 3d printing but know its come along way. But these dash pads are getting hard to find.

I am sure it could be done. How much time, and money it will cost is another issue. Not sure that it's cost effective. Although it's not a perfect setup, the dash cover https://lmr.com/item/LRS-04282P-A/79...xoChdgQAvD_BwE is one option. I personally have used one on several Foxes over the years. Most people never notice it, but a true Fox lover will know. Still looks good and works well in most case. Unfortunately they continue to increase in price all the time. I believe I paid $69 or so for my first one many, many, many years ago.

The replacement dash pads are available in a couple of different forms. Unfortunately only one of them is a decent replacement for the original, but luckily it has come down in price in recent years. The urethane version has terrible fit and finish. The vinyl skinned foam core is the best option. https://www.npdlink.com/1979-1993-mu...trim/dash-pads

I think it would take a long time to 3D print something that large and cost is dependent on the material. $3-$12 a sq inch cost last time I check at work.
Since my 85 is not a show car and just a driver I got the cover from CJ. https://www.cjponyparts.com/dash-pad...-1986/p/PAD6C/
