Hello, all:
I may have asked this before, not sure. My original AC compressor was rebuilt in maybe 2015 and lasted for about two years if I recall. Then it went south. It was rebuilt by an outfit in Florida somewhere near Daytona Beach. I don't recall their name right now. Last year I tried to recharge it and it just wouldn't take anything. Went the professional route and the coolant leaked out at the middle compressor seam. They used UV dye to locate the leak and I saw it for myself. The rest of the system was great. And it was converted to R-134a in 2015.
Can this thing be rebuilt again? I imagine the seals inside went south but if the actual body is bad then its time for a new one. Carlisle has been bumped due to obvious reasons so I could use one now if that is the case. But if the original can be rebuilt again I'd rather go that route.
Any advice is most welcome.
Cheers
