    Default 1979 2.8 V6 front crossmember

Looking at a 1979 2.8 V6 coupe. What front crossmember does this thing have? Since it's a 2.8 V6 is it like a 4cyl/ V8 or regular 6cyl crossmember? Anybody have experience with this? Thanks in advance.

V8 and 4 cylinder X member. But you can put the V6, V8 and 4 cyl on the six cylinder X member and just shave the extra 4.08" inches off.

American in line 3.3 and 4.1 sixes had the mounts shifted forward approx 4".

It was only the Australian 3.3/4.1 Liter six that got its engine mounts shifted back.

So the fram horns were just extended to use the F100 FE engine or Six Cylinder Slant Six 225 mounts.

The Cologne 4 cylinders, Lima 4's and Cologne V6's had all the same positions as the Windsor V8.
