Default Question regarding drive shaft flange

I'm in the process of swapping 5.0L components from an 84 GT donor car into a 4 cylinder I recently bought. While removing the drive shaft, in order to remove the T5 from the donor car, I was left with no choice but to cut the bolts off at the flange to remove the drive shaft as they were rusted solid, in the process I damaged the flange with the grinder. (I scrapped a 12 point socket and emptied my torch trying to break the torque)

I know that the drive shaft from the 4 banger won't take the load of the 5.0L, but can I use atleast the flange from my 4 cylinder? Or is it not robust enough to swap onto my v8 driveshaft?

I think the pinion flange is different from 7.5 to 8.8, but the drive shaft flange that bolts to it is the same. There is a larger set of flanges for the 8.8 that was used on trucks and suvs. You have both of them, right? Compare them, check the part numbers.

If the pinion flange is the same in the 7.5, and his donor car is a 84...which has the 7.5...then it should be the same and work...

Sorry this is a couple months later. Yes they are interchangeable, tho slightly different in appearance, the 4 cyclinder pinion flange appeared to be slightly less "beefy", but I've been assured it's strong enough for a v8 driveshaft.
