Default New DD! 2017 Focus ST

Very excited to have this! It was kind of far from me in Omaha, but nothing closer could touch it. It was way too nice to pass up! It's the same year, but has way less miles than the van it's replacing. It turned over 10,000 miles on my first drive in it. It has some modifications, that let's just say aren't my taste (4 cylinders should be seen, not heard ), but all the original parts were included in the sale! I've wanted an ST since they first came out in 2013, but the kids were too little back then to fit the giant backwards facing baby seats in with the recaros. Also, they were kind of expensive to lease.

Congrats. That's a sharp looking car.
I love my ST and it is a blast to drive.
Night and day difference with a tune and still great on gas mileage.

My son had one of those in his 2016 Focus. It would drop out gear driving down the freeway

My son bought a new Focus ST in 2018 and he loves it. He chose that model because it was one of the few cars that were still available with a manual transmission. He only has a couple thousand miles on it because it's his baby and gets parked all winter. He has a beater for bad weather driving.

When he first got it I called it the screaming yellow zonker but he didn't get the reference. Way before his time I guess.

I had to google them, but they sounds tasty. I'm pretty old though, maybe it was a regional thing.

But yeah, the previous owner of mine, it was his baby as well. I kind of felt like maybe he wouldn't sell it to me if he knew I intended to DD it. He was cool about it though.

I've actually had 3 other Foci from this body style.

The blue one was a special ordered fully loaded Titanium. The only way you could get them in 2012 was with that stupid auto. We lived with it for 3 years, so I totally get how people are having problems with them. Lots of worrying noises and behavior. I was VERY happy to turn that one in at the end of its lease. It sucks though, other than that, they are great cars!

My blue oval loyalty actually converted some friends of mine, and they bought an automatic Focus. We're currently not on speaking terms.

so what happens is that the transmission is a non serviceable and the trans fluid gets hot and it will melt the seal and the fluid goes into the dry side. the clutch packs have no fluid and they burn up. Chinese made and its also the fiesta and now the fusion is having the same problems

Hey I know what you mean, My sister in law just gave me a (I think its a 89) toyota celica that her brother bought from the moms neighbor. mind you the brother is the family drunk and why he bought it in the first place I dont know....lol It was sitting for about 7 years so it needs a little front bumper work, a good cleaning and tune up to get it running and a new paint job due to the flaking clear coat so ill get the guy who's painting my capri to do it then ill flip it outa my garage

Which is why it sucks that only about 40 out of the nearly 300 models of cars up for sale come with a manual.

Neighbors 09 Focus threw a code last week.
#2 Motorcraft spark plug failed. Insulator loose, no electrode. Boot mangled.
New plug would not seat. As if hole was stripped. Tried several new ones. Same.
She switched old #3 plug to #2 hole. Seated. New Autolite blacks in 1,3,4.
New coil pack for #2. New vc gasket. Running fine so far.
