New member FormerMustang and current Zephyr owner

Hi,

I've been in a number of Fox-body groups over the years and have surfed this site in the the past and finally thought I'd join.

I had a...er.."two eyed" '88 Mustang that I bought new in late '87 and owned for 19 years. It was a black LX hatchback with T tops and a 2.3L 4 cyl, and I later swapped in a 5.0 powertrain and added '93 Cobra cosmetics. Oh and changed the color to red. Sold that car in '06. But I knew every nut and bolt in it haha.

Now I have a stock '80 Mercury Zephyr Villager wagon that just needs some mechanical TLC (previous owner repainted it (and replaced the woodgrain!). Its still got the ol' 200 straight 6.

Thanks, I got lucky - it was a bargain. But, the engine and trans are well worn. Leaks, burns some oil, and trans slips a little from 2-3. Odometer reads 45k miles and I suspect its 145k.
