    Default Complete interior build

    Hi all,

I have a fox body which was used in road racing back in the days, which means its interior is stripped (only have dash).

I'm considering converting it to a street car, so I am wondering what are my options? Can all interior parts be bought new these days?

Welcome to FEP and congratulations on the new to you Fox Body.

Obviously I would assume Fox Bodies are not plentiful in Norway, but for what you are trying to do a parts car with a full interior would be the best option. Otherwise the little items will end up costing you a fortune to purchase.

There are a decent number of interior items available reproduction, etc. these days for a Fox body, but still many of the interior pieces are not reproduced at this time such as interior rear quarter panels, dash hull, center console hull, headliner trim pieces, and many more.

VFR fiberglass makes a fiberglass dash hull for race cars that might be an option for you if needed. You might also consider doing some type of hybrid race car/street car interior that gives you a better street experience, but keeps the race car look/vibe. Good Luck!

You are right, we don't have a lot of these cars around here.

I might be more lucky over in Sweden. Will the 79-93 interior be interchangeable?

Technically 79-93 is interchangeable, the catch is that not everything is a direct swap. Installing parts and pieces from 79-86 models to 87-93 or vice versa can require additional work or slight modifications. Everything will fit, but clip holes, screw holes, seat belt holes, etc. don't all match up for every year model. Good Luck!

I might be able to get interior from '79-80 Capri.

What about side door glasses. Are all side door glasses interchangeable?

I believe they are the same from 79-93, however, they are different between hard top/sunroof, convertible, and t-top.
