Quarter panels

I need to replace my interior quarter panels in my 82 hatchback. What year panels will fit .

1979-93 are interchangeable and will work.

1979-86 Mustang/Capri are direct replacements with no modifications needed.

I believe there was a slight change in the quarter panel in either 1983 or 1984 in regards to the shape of the arm rest area for the rear seat. Nothing major, but slight different than the previous years.

The 1979-82 should be identical replacements, 83-86 direct replacements with slight difference in the shape of the arm rest area.

1987-93 will fit, but require the area around the quarter window to be cut down @ 3/4" to fit properly. The shape around the wheel wells is different and requires a different hatch carpet to match up correctly. Hope that answers your questions. Good Luck!
