Default Heater Core and Blower Motor

    I just gotta say
My car has no A/C, easiest heater core I have ever removed in my life!
Blower motor was also easy, didn’t even have to remove the dash.
Found out the motor works, the switch is bad.
Of course now it’s vibrating so I might have to go back in, but wow I was just amazed.

Headlight switch, ignition switch and blower switch so far are bad, but they aren’t too expensive.
Looking forward to getting all the circuits working, so I can start building the car.
I want to start with everything working, seems like a smart way to go about it.

The easiest heater core I ever did was on the Wifes 91 Explorer. I changed it in about 20 minutes while she was getting ready to go out. Two 1/4" screws and the heater hoses. Done. It is a factory air truck as well.

Big ol pain. Lost count how many times I’ve done heater cores - really crappy job

Get a flow restricter for the supply side and clamp in an old 3/8 drive 12 mm socket before you reassemble it.

if you can find an original, don’t waste your money on anything else

    Good luck

I had done one on my 81 ghia, and my brothers 86 gt vert, both factory AC cars. Major PITA. When I bought my 83 capri with a bypassed core I thought I was in for the same nightmare. Someone on here pointed out to me from pics of my interior that I had a dealer AC car. The smaller vents were the tell. This meant I just had to pull my glove box. Took less than 20 mins including a smoke break! Can't remember the posters SN, but I certainly owe that guy a 6 pack!
