    Default Exhaust hangers

Hi all, I'm not sure what I need to do or where to find them, but im looking for exhaust hangers for my 79 pace car to use a dual exhaust setup like the 86 to 93 lx 5.0 use. Anyone know where I can get them new? I'm sure I can find them at a junk yard but I like new ones if possible.

I just went thru this with my 85. There are two different style hangars. One for the mufflers and a different one for the tail pipes. The mufflers used a a rubber insulator with a half moon shaped metal hook. These rubber insulators can be hard to find from Walker or AP Emissions. There may be some cheap replacements to size up at 5he auto parts store.

The twin tail pipe Hangers are the more common round pin style and are likely common thru 93. They do make some pipe clamp brackets that will work. The rubber hanger is much easier to find. I will post the part numbers later.

There is a guy on ebay, Herm's Hack Shack. He only parts out 79-04 mustangs period. A whole set of stock hangers from him is less than 2 through LMR. Look him up! Contact him for any of your needs, he ships daily and is a great guy. I am lucky he is local and he does me well.

You will need the tailpipe mounts, the muffler mounts and the tranny mount to be complete. He will sell it as a unit.

No relation, just a great guy, good prices and lots of inventory.

Somewhere I have the measurements for the tail pipe hangers. Not an easy hole to start. I used a right angle drill and a cut off drill bit to do it. You need to drill 2 holes on each side of the frame. I'll look tonight.

The muffler hangers are easy and mount in existing holes. If you have a single exhaust you can see the original mount, the dual one is just for the other side. They are a tiny bit different, so just use both your new ones.
