Hello, last Friday I purchased my first mustang. A 1986 GT with only 41,000 miles and zero mods done.
For the last many, many years I have owned corvettes, camaros, firebirds, cutlass's and many ford trucks, I figure time to try a mustang. Hard to find one of the older four eyes that hasn't been cut up or rusted through, but I found one.
Seems to have all the goodies that were available in '86. A/C, tilt, cruise, pwr windows, power door locks, fog lights, lighting package, traction loc, rw defroster, locikng gas door, elect hatch release, premium sound, sunroof, AOD and a couple other things I have not yet decoded from the build sheet.

Paint is shot, except for the hatch which was repainted. But no rust on top or more importantly, underneath.

It even came with the original fog light covers.

I have the original radio.
Everything works except the power locks. PO said they stopped working when he had the stereo installed, same with rear speakers.
So it shouldnt be a hard fix.

Previous owner is a retired engineer from Ford. He also gave me the Ford dealer service manuals.
