    Default SVO sail panels

Has anyone purchased reproduction SVO sail panels? I found some for sale but there are no reviews on it yet. Thoughts?

As with any reproduction part the answer will depend on the quality of the reproductions. The OEM panels weren't perfect to start with, so that can skew the quality of the reproductions. There were also two different versions of the SVO quarter panels, the 1984 E4ZX and the 1986 E6ZX versions. The difference has to do with the placement of the mounting studs. Ford changed the location of one of the mounting stud holes on the body sometime around 1985/86. Not a huge difference, but it did move.

In my experience the E4ZX panels fit the early Four eyes better and the E6ZX panels fit the 85/86 cars better. Worse case you have to enlarge or slot one of the mounting holes to get the SVO panel to fit properly on the body. Good luck and let us know how it goes if you choose to buy them. I installed a set of OEM SVO panels on my PC and like the look.

I will have to check and see if I have one. I don't see one on this laptop.
