Don't know a lot about these cars, I thought they were all white. But this fella claims to have one and is asking a pretty penny for it and needs a complete restoration.

They came in a different colors. White, Black, Red, I think I remember seeing a Green one as well. I think there's a few other colors, but I'm not sure myself.

I've been looking and they are indeed a rare car, but I don't see the seller getting his asking price unless it is rust free underneath and structurally sound.

No that thing looks rough! I missed out on one that was in my home town for years. We just thought it was just another 85 convertible GT. I could have gotten it for $1000 from a friend who's brother that died and was the current owner. I still didn't really know what it was. It ended up being a 1 of 12 vert car's ( I think) that was actually a Predator/Twister 2. One of the members here bought it and restored it. The last it sold I think it brought $30K but again I'm not sure on the total. I'm bummed I didn't buy it, but it's for the better since it would still be sitting unrestored.

That is crazy! I hear stories from my dad like that all the time, back when he was younger he could of bought a "Boss 429, Corvette Split-Windows, etc. etc." but it's really crazy to think these 4 eyed fox Mustangs are getting harder and harder to find. And one of that stature? Crazy that you could have purchased it.
