Default Install head gasket dry with alum heads?

Tried searching and didn't yield much. What do you fellas do- install them dry or spray/coat them with (?)? Heard some differing thoughts from dry to spray paint.

.040 over 302 with Edelbrock E-street aluminum heads.

    Thanks!

Any type of stock replacement head gaskets should go on dry. Only MLS might use a spray sealant to help keep them from seeping water.

I have the fel pro 1011-1 gaskets. Think I will look them up on line. Duh. They have blue 'sealant lines' looking things on the gasket, so probably dry.
