    Default Proportioning Valve Delete Question

In the process of deleting the stock proportioning valve, I can't seem to find the correct fitting to adapt the 7/16-24 nut that's on the line out of the rear of the stock proportioning valve to the 3/8-24 brass T that's being installed to tie the front brake lines together. I have an adapter that's 7/16-24 female IF to 3/8" male IF, the issue I find with this is the line sizes are 1/4" and 3/16" respectively. Does anyone make an adapter of this flavor that's designed for 3/16" line on both sides?

    I found this:

However, I'm concerned that the 7/16"-24 will once again be for 1/4" line.

I plan on going with a 94/95 Cobra M/C with a couple MM adapters that will allow 3/8-24 fittings, which will play nicely with my FMS adjustable proportioning valve.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Can this be done without cutting and reflaring?

So Jeremiah, I see no one responded in a year. Did you come up with a solution? I'm looking for a tee to delete my stock proportioning valve in my '82. Anything you recommend? Did you try that one from Earl's at Summit?

I did, the adapter I used is the same one used when adapting the passenger side front brake like to the SN95 style rubber line. A 7/16-24 IF Female to 1/8" NPT adapter was used to connect the MM brake line to the FMS adjustable proportioning valve.

A 3/8-24 inverted flare 'T' was used for the rear brake lines.

That is a really sweet way to plumb that! Nice job

Can I hijack this thread and ask where do people run the adjustable proportioning valve when they dont delete the factory one? Mine will be gutted but I dont want to remove it completly.

On a lot of fox body cars there is a brake line union in the engine compartment on the passenger side up by the firewall. It is up high by the cowl so it is easy to see. I cannot remember if the early cars had that or not. That is the easiest place to put it.

Early foxes had a 90 degree fitting and the brake line runs inside the car.

I want to keep the stock proportioning valve even though its gutted, I have the wilwood adjustable unit that is the most common, it looks identical to the ford racing unit.
