I mounted up some action cameras on my widebody and went for a drive last night to town. I haven't reviewed the footage yet, but I hope there is some good video on the cameras.

Had the Capri towed back to my mechanic, I used AAA they asked what the problem was. I said engine problems, didn't tell them no engine. My mechanic will be putting in this.

Slapped the free, 17 year old tires on for the purposes of moving the car around the yard and not ruining good tires before I get an alignment. Much better

after I bagged the car and masking off everything I painted the trim and removed the front seats, took them apart to replace the foam. Then had to paint inside the fuel door as the paint shop didnt do it. Name: thumbnail (12).jpg

That sucks, I used "foot slipped off the clutch " with my dad once, not sure if he believed me but never said anything otherwise.

All I did today is modify one of my fuel line to tank fittings to fit on the tank. The other fitting was fine but this one needed some material removed.
I have a much busier day planned tomorrow

Today I modified a 1995 MAF to upgrade from my stock 58 mm one. I also picked up a near new BbK 70mm throttle body and EGR spacer that I will install once the gaskets come in. Should help it breath a little better

In my case it was “I forgot I disconnected the leaky master cylinder last month”. Either way, it’s basically put a stop to my planned IRS swap

Got all the seals replaced on both front windows. Wow, what an improvement! The old stuff just crumbled. It needs the doors too but I’m going to wait to do that since I will be in & out of the car quite a bit putting the dash back in and the interior stuff.
Put a second coat of rust encapsulator on the cowl repair, and also rust encapsulated both sides of the top cowl panel since that is rusted too, and painted it body color. Might seam seal it tonight or wait til tomorrow

Default Really neat it happened. Two classic Mustangs cruising past FWHQ.

Took the Cobra out for an afternoon ride, west and south part of town. 102 mile round trip.
Giving the Bondo-Glass rear lower rocker repair extra time to cure good before finishing.
Destination was to a pic-a part for a lighter assy. Got one from an 80 Cougar and some green speed clips.

Headed home. 210 miles, 1/4 tank left. Filled up at my Dearborn BP. Economy check average 24.3 mpg.

Then, was driving wb on Michigan Ave. past Ford World HQ. Entered lane to go nb on M-39 freeway.
A 69 or 70 Red Mustang conv. came up in the ds door mirror 45-50 mph, top down.
No traffic. I slowed down to wave thumbs up and honk the horn.
Must have been 6 older kid, teen, and or adult passengers in the car.
The interior had like a dozen long arms or more waving back to the honk.

That's what driving a Ford and a Mustang is all about. Happiness.

Wish i had a pic. Happened too fast.

Got some cheap hood pins and pinned to hood down. Proper repairs probably won’t happen until December at the earliest, and when they do I will probably put a Fiberglass hood on I think

Bought another two. Found them on a listing for parts. One sadly is boneyard bound, hit hard in front, rusted, stripped. The other one is a bit weirder.

So I'll let the pics explain.

All in all not a bad deal. The aftermarket stuff that with it as well :quickfuel carb, 10 point moroso cage, two sets of brand new headers, alternators, etc

Finished installing new rear control arms and new rear rotors, need to polish the exhaust tips as the painter I guess forgot to mask them off. Also disassembled both front seats to replace with new foam.Name: thumbnail (5).jpg

Last week, replaced the fuel pump, drained 18 gallons of "gas" out of the tank. Changed the oil and filter. Then discovered the loose power valve leaked gas into the fresh oil. Rastennfratzenschnitzel!

Cleaned what looked like a mixture of sawdust, chunks of dry rubber cement, and a black .... fluid .... out of the master cylinder. Put fresh fluid into it, and could squirt fluid out of both output ports. So will try to bleed this week.

Nothing like cleaning out 10+ years of sitting.
