Finally got my windshield installed today! Now I can finally move on with the project after being waylaid by having to remove the cowl and replace the rotted section.
Lower drivers trim piece is a little bent but glass guy said it wouldn’t leak just cosmetic.
Car has been hit, and it could have been like that before and didn’t notice.

Installed 4 cylinder springs and cut 1/4 coil out of them and removed isolators
It's low and dropped it probably too much but so far so good
1-3/4 rake

I'm switching to eibachs and 17 inch non stagger ponies but had to get the nose down granted this is not ideal and im surprised it rides as well as it does
If I lower the rear 1/2 more its not happy going into steep driveways
If I add the isolators back and add 17s it should sit right
I have new control arms going in when I do the swap
1/4 coil removed
Spring meaures 13-3/4 tall i cut them at 13-1/4
Ground to fender is 24-3/4
Ford emblem is knee height in front
Only driven 800-1200 miles year so no worries on how wrong the geometry is i get it
Rides crazy nice from factory height
Was only looking for 3/4 drop and I was shocked how little removal dropped it what it did
These coils supported a bbf 545ci foxbody drag car in early 90s
Maybe will see ya out there on ww JP
On recent nice fri-sat evenings, we been sitting on ww across Pasqualis on the gas station side street.
Starting to reinstall and or restripe the body side moldings and bumpers with 1/2" 3M red reflective.
Car came with orange Cobra graphics and red pinstriped moldings.
Found this stuck in a front wheel well liner gap.
At final inspection of tape from a distance, looked like discarded white tape liner.
Will never know how it got there. Recent, fairly clean and sticky.

I'll look for your car.. foxbodies stick out some with all of the newer cars out there.
This Saturday I believe is telegraph cruise but don't hold me to that
Nice progress on project
I am working on replacing the transmission tail shaft bushing and seal after a major fluid leak but after I removed the driveshaft I saw the pinion seal was kinda leaking a little so I will be replacing that to. But I think im going to take the drive shaft over to get the U joints replaced and have the shaft re-balanced as im using a auto shaft with a 5 spd.

Got this done today
This was a mock up to see how these wheels will fit the car, I think they fit pretty good. Now I can push the car outside and swap axles to see how the rears fit.
I also used the Eastwood internal frame coating, you can see it dripped out of some of the holes.
it seemed to work pretty good, was able to coat both sides complete front frame rails by using a length of tig filler rod to guide the nozzle.

soooooo I buy the special tailshaft bushing tool..... I buy 2 more new bushings........ I install the 3rd new bushings and again I cant get the driveshaft to push into the bushing! WTF! is it such a tight fit and is squeezing the bushing? can I cut the bushing to give it more room to go into the tailshaft?

I had this exact problem once. What I found is that the opening I was driving the tailshaft bushing into is out of round. We ended up pulling the tail section of the transmission and putting on a different one. I've had a brand new "won't go into 3rd correctly" problem ever since - so it will come back apart again soon.
For round 2 I'll probably put a bit in a drill press and machine off the part that's out of round on the old housing and put it back together.
Size for size slip fit its precise and depending on who and where you purchased the bearing it is tolerance stack up
Expandable reamer or maybe even small honing tool could massage the fit
A good used input yoke could be your under car friend but you do want this to not just fit but nice slip fit and square
Your first edge may have a burr on it from pressing it in
I made a plastic tool to insert the bushing which is softer than the brass and worked good socket and hammer shouldn't be used here for install but it could work
Did this the other day....red carnage...lol!

the special tool I bought came with the bushing driver (cost me $180.00) all the new bushings fit the yoke and even the last bushing I installed had a cut and still I can only push in about 1/4" maybe ill try the original bushing but ill put it in the freezer to shrink it for easy install

Was the transmission mishandled while it was out sometime? The tail sections do crush around the output bushing pretty easily.
no the trans was left in, I bought the special 2 piece tool to remove and install the bushing

Size for size is a press fit meaning if your i.d is 1.500 and your yoke o.d is 1.500 it will not fit
It needs .0005 undersize on either piece
There's probably a .001 press fit to keep bushing from spinning during normal use
I believe your bushing is so close because it fits already just needs a little hone to be a good fit
Try to take very little off with a smooth finish
Your steel input shaft will be spinning on bronze bushing wearing it in when installed and your driving in normal use 2
I tried all the new bushings on the yoke before I pressed into the housing, they were loose so I cant see how when they are pressed in I cant get the yoke in after
