    Default Scuff Plate

Can anyone tell me, or point me where I can find the part number the drivers side scuff plate for my 4 door? The front part of mine is broken and I need to locate a replacement.

They may use a different description for the part but it looks like there are a few left in the world.

What did you use as your search? I can’t seem to find the scuff plate.

Door trim panel, door moulding, front door trim panel, front door moulding, interior trim panel. A few had pictures and all had an email address or phone number to contact them for additional information.
I have never had a Fairmont with a scuff plate, they have all just had painted metal where the door closes, are you meaning the plastic trim piece that holds the carpet down at the bottom of the door opening?

Got ya. They are few and far between in this area, but I have people that let me know when one pops up. I will let you know if I find one.

It says left hand. The backside is marked L.H. Isn't that the driver side?

I would think the same thing, but the long end of the plate is for the front door, short end for the back. Not sure why it's LH, but for Pass.

Not sure if I'm looking at it wrong, but the way I see it, it would go in just as you're saying. Long end front, short end rear, left side.

I can't get to my car right now, but doesn't the open side of the belt retractor go towards the seat?

the open end of the 'U' goes up. It fits under the retractor and the center post trim piece.

The shipping quote on the item is pretty outrageous. $65??

Gotcha. Wrong color, and ridiculous shipping so I'll have to pass on this one.
