    Default 81 mustang radiator support

Does any one sell radiator supports for the early fox mustangs?
I've searched and could only find the later models.

Unfortunately I am not aware of any radiator supports for the 79-82 cars. There are some differences, but if you can't find a good used core support you can make the 83-89 work. There are some differences, but it can be done when there are no other options. Good Luck!

I assume yours has the typical curb damage on the lower part which if so, you can use the newer one and just cut in the lower piece. The differences are mainly in the upper area such as differnt style hood bumpers and such. I used a complete new style replacement in my 79 with no issues.

Yep, the lower was pretty much destroyed by the previous owner.

If only the lower is damaged, then you can either use the tubing replacement linked to above, just keep in mind you will need to fabricate tabs/etc for the front cover to attach to the tubing.

The other option is to find a good lower radiator support section from a JY or parts car and splice that into your vehicle. There are some differences in regards to the bolt hole locations on the lower sections, but nothing that will prevent you from being able to use any 79-93 lower support section. Good Luck!

I have this on my '80 coupe because I couldn't find a clean used one. Typical damage on mine when I bought the car.

I had the same problem but every lower support I found at the JY was worse than mine.

    So I made my own........

I just made some simple modifications to make a repop for a 1990-93 from LMR work on my 1983 Capri with very little effort. Basically just cut off the bumper stands and weld on the round face plates from the 1983 original to fill the square void. Depending upon how major the differences are that Trey mentioned I would suspect this could work well for the earlier cars. Let me know if you want pictures
