Default A pillar behind fender rubber plugs

    https://lmr.com/item/PE-990/1979-93-...r-Rubber-Plugs

I got a set of these from LMR. they come with 4 plugs. Two different sizes. I found the larger ones fit into the plugs between the door and the edge of the fender. I cannot see or locate where the 2 smaller plugs go. Do I have to remove the wheel wells to see?

Anybody have a pic or diagram showing where the smaller plugs go?

I don't believe there are normally 2 holes in most A pillars. At least none of the pictures I have show that. On the passenger side there is the larger hole as shown in this picture of Erratics50. The smaller hole is the one for the radio antennae. I guess if you are radio delete the smaller plug might fit that hole.

Here is the driver side again showing the larger hole, but no additional smaller hole.

Bottom line is I don't know where the smaller plugs are supposed to go. Personally I am pretty sure everything on your car is sealed up in regards to the doors. You might see if the smaller plug fits the holes in the corner of the cowl panel that are often missing or torn, otherwise you have some spare plugs. Good Luck!

Well i saved myself the hassle of pulling the wheel wells. i was sure there was something I was missing. Thanks. The small plugs will fit the cowl panel but I changed them last year when i had the car painted. the cowl plugs come in a 2 pc set. not sure why the A pillar plugs come in a 4 pc set. Kind of annoying but no harm having an extra set of plugs the keep.

I just have to fix a small water drip in the convertible top in the center of the windshield frame along the top. its not the seal. water intrudes through the metal frame and drips out of it on the inside. That and a small air leak by the driver side convertible top latch.
